Flamingo

Anne here with a very glittery card.  I've used the Flamingo die from Cheapo Dies exclusive line and die cut it from Double Sided Adhesive sheets so that I could add various colors of glitter to the entire piece.

Once the piece was die cut, I used an Exacto knife to carefully cut off the backing sheet so that I could add the colors one at a time.   Tooth Fairy glitter was used for the body, Neon Flamingo glitter accentuates the wings, Blue Raven was used for the eye and the beak, and Tangerine for his foot.  Ocean glitter was used for the water, Parisian Mist for the lily pad, and Candy Pink for the blossom.

A basic circle shape was used to create the sun.  This was covered with Distress Oxides (Fossilized Amber, Wild Honey), and then heat set with Clear embossing powder a couple of times.  While the embossing powder was still hot for the last heat setting, I sprinkled some Sunny Daze glitter into the mixture for a bit more sparkle.

The card base was covered with Distress Oxides (Broken China, Faded Jeans) and the bottom edge was cut using a deckle paper cutter.

This was a pretty quick and easy card to put together and can be used for any occasion.  For additional details, please visit my blog, Anne-Made.

Until next week....
